White Rabbit is a collection of bold patterns and cool design. Shea Steele is the owner and operator of local honey, a Nashville vintage store, and she has created a line that consists of head to toe looks and accessories with a specific aesthetic. Her use of colors and prints is based on impact, and I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of different pieces shown in her collection.
Let’s just take a minute to soak in that final dress. If there was ever a reason to drool on the runway, this moment was it. Tatyana Merenyuk, originally from the Ukraine and the designer of red doll, created a gorgeous and elegant collection based around black, white, red, and an unexplainable fluff. Flirty accents, the addition of polka dots, and her use of lace ushered these pieces into a new plateau of charm that I had never experienced before.
Comfortable coolness was oozing from each look of the g-star raw collection. Extremely wearable, these designs had a structured grit that I found very appealing. G-star is known for its cutting edge design when it comes to denim, and this runway show was another example of the amazing construction. My favorite moments were definitely the men’s oversized fur-lined hood and the gorgeous details on the women’s grey denim.
With rich blues and crisp blacks, the Katharine Kidd collection was refined and graceful. Gorgeous draping and structured shoulders hung from each model as the girls teetered down the runway in silver and black strappy heels. Her addition of sequins was eloquently placed, and her use of lace was flattering. For evening wear, this collection covered every shape and form that any woman would be honored to wear.
Closing the evening, the Versace collection was one of the most anticipated shows of the entire week. With everything from sophisticated suits to structured bikinis, every single look was different from the next. There were touches of silk and neon prints, and I loved the variety of design in the Versace collection. Though the execution of these looks was refreshing and new, the essence of luxury was no surprise.
